Ray turned round. "Smoking bad for you." he said.

"So it is" chuckeld Ratter, grinding te ciggerate under his boot.

"I'm sorry, who are you?"

"Ratter! We went to school togethe

"Did we? thats nice."

"Yeah! Come on, you'vre got to remember me!" he insisted, this WAS the spirit who'd controlled Shayne love for Ray, he wasn't letting go that easy.

Ray sighed, turned and kissed him, leant back contemplating. "Nope, dont remember you. cya"

Ratter blinked, lips tingling "But-Bu we were like, best friends!"

Ray emmitted a laugh. "Hun, i never went to school. " he waved a hand behind him before walking down teh rest of teh steps

"Primary!" Ratter quickly cvere dup, cusing the fact he'd forgoten that "I mised you"

"When i was in primary i was the kid who sat in teh corner and didnt say a word. Whilst every one else would coo over the person who had come in new trainers, i came every day with a new bruise I had no friends, dont lie to me.2

"If I told you the truth you'd never believe me" said Ratter quietly "I know loads about you, I feel like I've known you for years, we've shared loads together and because of some stupid reason you won't even believe you have no idea who I am!"

"I kissed you because i thought i might know you. thats the way my brain remembers some one. I trained my brain to do that since i had to kiss so many different people. i catalog thinsg about them whith how there kiss feels. But you...i got nothing. so i know i've never met you, because if i had, i would have fucked you. "Shrugged ray.

Ratter looked about to burst into tears "You've got to believe me! Please, we loved eachother..."

"I've only ever loved one person, and i just had that thrown in my face. Dont tell me i ever loved you. " said ray, his face and eyes dark with pain and anger

Ratter whimpered "Like I said, you'd never believe me" he whispered.

Ray stared at the boy infron tof him. He reminded him of Shayne. he looked so...defenseless and hurt and scared. ray will never tell shayne but he can rememeber everything from that time wen his personailty briefly went away and he forgot who he was. The face ratter was pulling was the exact same shayne had pulled the day he hit him. hurt, upset, scared....

Ratter wiped his eyes with the back of hiswrist, one of Shaynes weirder mannerisms.

Ray caught ratetrs wrist. "Why did you ust do that?"

Ray let go of ratter liked he'd burned him. He looked closely at him for a seocnd before shaking hiss head as if he was ahving a debate with himself inside of his head. "WHat do you want from me? why are you talking to me?"

"I love you, I've loved you since..." he trailed off and shook his head "Again, you'd never believe me"
