"Do you honestly love me?" whispered Sam, staring at him

"With all my heart"

Sam began to cry quietly

Storm whinced "I-I didn't mean to upet you!"

Sam shook her head. "I've been waiting for a guy to say that, and actually mean it. And now i have one, and i can truly tell he means it, no other girl that may cloud it."

Storm smiled weakly, his blonde hair flopping over his eyes.

"but...i cant stop lovng Dante. Fir ine thing i'll die...adn for another...it would be a painful process. Why couldnt i have fallin in love with you? Your a white wolf, you care for me...why?" sam began to cry, leaning against a tree.

Storm hugged her tigtly.

Sam slid her arms round him, hugging him back. Even with tehrea age difference, Sam's head came up to his nose. SHe looked up at him, tears falling from her cheeks

Storm just held her.

Sam eventually stopped crying, but she didnt step away from shayne

torm stayed silent.

Sam closed her eyes and leant against him, feeling safe. It had been a tiring start to teh day, adn fell into a kind of half sleep

Storm at down gently, ulling her ith him.

an hour later sam woke up. SHe could feel Storm hugging her to his chest, but she could also sense some one else tehre."

Dante was curled on the otehr side of the clearingg, even in wolf form the tear streaks don his face were ovious.

sam sat up and looked at storm. He had obviosly fallen asleep. She looked back at dante. "Why are you here?"

Dante didn;t answer, just opened one gre eye.

Sam looked down. She was stillt ucked into Storms arm. "Why are you here?" repeated Sam

"If you can choose Storm over me I don't have to answer any of your questions" said Dante calmly and icily at the same time.

"I havent choose him. He...comforted me. More themn you did." her vioce was just plainly icy

"You don't want me anymore, I couldn't have comforted you." he aid "Besides, you made your mind up, nothing can change ou hen your like that"

"You could have comforted me. You could have just loved me. You could have loved me like storm does." she whipered teh last part, it barily audioable

"I tried, and I do." said Dante, standing up onto his paws "But maybe you should be happy with him...if taht's what you want"

"STOP IT DANTE! STOP MAKING ME FEEL BAD!!!! I HATE IT! I HATE THIS! I ATTACKED YOU, ADN I HAVE NO IDEA WHY! i feel so guilty...so confused.." she had stood upa dn shouted at first, not caring if she woke Storm up. But at the last part she fell to her knees. SHe thopught she was all cried out, tha np more tears could possibly come, but they did.
