"Its not Helena"

"It is!" shouted helena. she pulled away and walked out of the room in tears. she nearly ran into frank but she dodged rounf him and ran up teh stairs

Frrank walked roudn the town for a while listlessly. He bought a nnixed bunch of black and red roses before going home.

Helena was curled up on her bed crying

Frank puleld out what he'd had in his pocket, he went in and placed the single crimson rose on her pillow.

Helena sat up and looked at it before looking up at him, her face was tear stained

"i thought you'd like it, I had a little left over"

Helena picked it up and held it gently. By accident she pricked her finger. "ow." she muttered as it began to bleed.

Frank kissed the prick.

Helena watched him. "thank you." she whispered gently

"Shh"

Helena looked at him confused

Frank stepped back "I need to iron my clothes for tomorrow"

Helena nodded and looked down, tears falling agin as she looked at the single red rose

Frsank sighed and stood up, leaving the room vbefore Helena could speak. He pulled his shirt and jeans out of the wash and grabbe Joes scarf iff the side, burying his face in it and breathing in deeply.

Charlie came in and sat down. "you miss her dont you." she stated quetly

Frank noddedd, weaving the scarf between hiaa fingers "she bought this the first time I got a town pass, she offered to show me around. It was freezing, shje bought me some stupid hat" he gave a sad smile.

"You really cared about her didnt you?"

Frank jodded "She was my best friend. She was the only friend I'd ever had"

"She was your first kiss."

"With a girl" chuckled frank sadly, stretching his shirt across the ioroning board "We were close, but I didn't rreally feel how I thought i did"

"What do you mean?"

"i loved her as a friend, but nit as a lover"

"Do you love helena?"

"Yes" was frank replie as he concentrateed on hsi ironing.
