Two worlds, One love *Shadowpook and I*

"I thought Pizza was traditional italian food? and is that kitchenm fit to cook in?" asked Kay raising her eybrow at him.

"You have alot to learn my friend" said Morten "And acctually, I do quite a good job of keepingthe bits I need clean"

Kay walked into teh kitchen and looked around. "NOTHING'S clean." she said.

"It is!" he said "Maybe not MANOR HOUSE clean but It's clean enough"

Kay got a splatula and scraped of a layer of black skum of one of teh counters. "These counters are supposed to be WHITE?!"

"Cream" corrected Morten "And thats fire damge from last timke dad tried to cook"

Kay opened a cupboard. Inside wher mouldy scraps and an out of date bag of.....something. Rats ran away when teh cupboard opened

"Ok, it's not as clean as it could be" said Morten "I've managed"

"This kitchen has never heard teh word clean." said kay looking around and opening more cupboards, each one as bad as teh last

Morten Grunted "Fine We'll clean this then I'll cook and wash up. K?"

Kay grinned. "OK!" she said, setting to work on the counters with teh spatula.

morten started to get rid of the rats, Most went on to the landing and staircase outside.

kay leant up andf wiped ehr forhead. "Jesus, what did he frickin cook?"

"I thionk It was a pizza" said Morten "But IT didnt resemble anything much by the time he'd finished. My dad in a nutshell: No sociasl, cooking,cleaning or parenting skills"

Kay grinned. "Ever tried putting an egg in a glass of water in teh microwave?" she asked.

Morten frowned "I think theres enough mess in here as it is"

"I tried once when i was little. I didn't know what to do because it was teh cooks day off and my gran had gone out. The nanny was looking after me. I was hungrey and teh nanny was in the tiolet. So i decided to biol an egg. that nannys hated me ever since." she said resuming the fight with the crust on teh countyer.

Morten laughed "I tended to stick to the instructions a littl emore" he said, finally winning hois fight with both the rats and the cumboards "Want some help with that surface? the cookers acctually clean" he said "Thats probably cuz It never gets used"

Kay smiloed and handed him anotehr psatulas. Sh looed round. "How many of tehse things do you have?"s he asked in amazment, see more spatulas.

Morten shrugged and sgtarted batling with the counter.

Kay helped him and after ten minutes hard owrk, teh counter was lookibng a wholly lot better.

Morten took a ste back "I'll give it a wipe over then we can starT"

Kay nodded nd grabbed a cloth, wiping teh inside of teh cupboards.

Morten started wiping down the COunter then gave The top of the cooker a wipe for good measure.

"Thas better." said Kay happily, looking around at teh nearly clean kitchen. She went to her friends and got a mop, and began mopping eth floor, before drying it
