Poisen looked down. "yeah, a survivor by will, but this time will might not help me, just power of teh doctors."

"I believe in you poison" said Kaien quietly "if anyone can get though this you can. Besides, You betetr wake up cause I'm not sitting in the hospital alone, I'm gpoing off my head with anxiety as it is"

"Call melody adn get her to come up here, i;m sure she'll calm you down." said Poisen, a hint of sarcasm in her voice

Kaien whinced "Seriously POison, I'm freaking out, I've been asked about 8 times already if I need anything to calm me down"

"What can i do to calm you down?" asked poisen touching his hand softky

Immediatly Kaien felt better "I-I dunno"

"Dont know much do you?" smirked poisen

"Never did" he smiled

"Thats better" said poissen stroking his cheek were he had smiled

Kaien spmiled and put his hand on hers.

Poisen felt her heart race increase slightly, which unfortunatly being hooked up to an IV was ratehr obvios.

Kaien glanced at the screen "hmm, I'd forgotten that happened"

Poisen turned pink. SHe turned and looked at the machine for a minute before finding the mute button. "thats better. But you will still feel my reactions. Which i cant help." said Poisen looking down before glancing up at him through her eyelash's

Kaien smiled slightly "i don;t mind"

"but i'm sure mike and melody would." muttered Poisen looking away.

Kaien glanced away.

Poisen slid her hand out from under his. She wondered what was going on with her. She knew she would always love Kaien, but she always thought that she would feel it the way she had felt it since they had split. Just liek she had too, whether she wanted to or not. Now it felt as though she wanted to. She didnt understand it at all.

Kaien let her pull he hand away and felt a pang of longing. Deep down there was no longer the desire to hut her that he'd held for so long.

The doctor came in. "i'd start to say goodbye, the operation room is ready."

Poisen bit her lip to stop herself from crying.

"I'll see you soon" promised Kaien and, without think, leant down andgave her a quick kiss.

Poisen froze in shock before kissing him back, oddly feeling as though she needed him.

Kaien sighed and watched her be wheeled off.

Poisen closed her eyes and felt tears dribble down her cheeks. She opened them again when the doctor brought her into teh operating room, and felt as teh sedation flowed through her veins, sending her to sleep

Kaien paced the corridors, unable to even sit down without worrying. He counted his steps, having one of those odd attacks of superstition, if he managed to hit 5000 before he got any news she'd be absolutely fine.He'd reached 4999 when The doctor cam to see him.

The doctor came up to him. "Mr Welsh?"
